These “touch points” are powerful, especially if the re-enforce the brand’s emotional connection. Touch points aren’t only physical- they’re your commercials, your signs on the road, your emails and handshakes. These all should sing your authentic brand and share your promise to the world.
Print offers a unique opportunity to tap into other levels of brain activity. The tactile senses are an important emotional vehicle that can re-enforce the brand experience. What kind of paper is it printed on? How does this feel in my hand? Cheap, flimsy and last minute, or solid and sound? People look for subtle clues to tell who you really are, and most don’t even know they’re looking.
From online PDF versions to bound books, annual reports are as varied as the organizations that depend on them. I can help you design an annual report that says what you want it to say to your stakeholders. This is an important time, the summary of a year’s worth of work. How do you want them to feel about it?
It’s funny. People make brochures to tell the world who they are and what they offer. But then they do it all one Sunday evening in a rush, using a free template and print it off at Kinkos. I don’t get it.
Where’s the love? Where’s the passion for what you do? Where’s the emotional connection? “But it’s expensive...” It doesn’t have to be- and it will cost you a lot more in lost opportunities if you just rip through it DIY style.
Take the time to do it right. Tell your story in a compelling way. You are unique. You’re better than a tri-fold brochure from a MS Word 2003 template. But your potential customers don’t know that. It’s up to you to show them who you really are. That is what lasts. That is what is memorable.

Powerpoint is still an extremely popular tool for the business community. So often this opportunity to re-enforce your brand is lost to the “Let’s just get it done” attitude. I like to design a few variations or themes for clients to use that fit the brand and help convey the emotion behind the information. What does your presentation look like?
